At KingsWilliam Natural Health Care, I work alongside some other wonderful therapists
who understand that by working together as a team, better treatment outcomes are possible for you.
We are all individuals and require personalised individual attention. Our team can offer a combination of any of the following treatments to meet your individual requirements:
Acupuncture
with Eve
Traditional Acupuncture involves inserting small needles into various points, "acupoints", in the body to stimulate nerve impulses. It is based on the idea of 'qi' (vital energy) which is said to travel around the body along 'meridians' which the acupuncture points affect.
Western acupuncture uses the same needling technique, but is based on affecting nerve impulses and the central nervous system, and can also include the use of herbs, electricity, magnets and lasers.
Chiropractic, using the Activator
with Eve and Sarah
No manual manipulations (or cavitations ... the "crack" style) here. Both Eve and Sarah use the Activator to give consistent low-force, high-speed chiropractic adjustments. The Activator Methods Chiropractic Technique (AMCT) uses the latest advances in orthopaedic, neurological and chiropractic examinations to locate joint dysfunction in the spinal column and extremities for improved patient care. Both Eve and Sarah also use Applied Kinesiology and NAET to help pinpoint and alleviate underlying issues. For more information, please visit the clinic.
Counselling & Life Coaching
with Nada
Whether you are successful, confident, sick or tired can come from the beliefs you have about who you are and what you can expect from the world. Nada will help you correct your core (negative) beliefs and in doing so help transform your behaviours, relationships, health and energy levels. For more information, please visit Nada's website.
HPA Rebalancing
with Sarah
Emotions are rooted in your deep neural wiring and too many negative emotions (eg stress) can adversely alter the internal neurochemical environment through their actions on the body's hormonal systems.
How? When we are convinced that we face either a physical or emotional threat (the nervous system makes no distinction), a series of hormonal events are triggered by the HPA (hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal) axis which is the core of the body's stress response where emotions swiftly interact with hormones, the immune system, and the nervous system to put the body on "red alert", ready for 'fight or flight'.
Uncertainty, conflict or a seemingly lack of control are all-powerful triggers of the HPA axis and, not surprisingly, are almost always features of the lives of those suffering from chronic ill-health. So:
- "Shutting down" emotionally as a lifelong coping strategy virtually guarantees poor physical health.
- Chronic stress cripples the immune response. In particular, sustained activation of the stress pathways (via the HPA axis) tends to weaken the body's ability to fight infections.
- There is a strong and well-researched correlation between the habitual repression of anger and cardiac disease.
- Social support is a strong buffer against stress. Lack of connection ranks equally with smoking as a risk factor for cardiac disease.
- Emotional stability fluctuates with the supply of the brain chemical (i.e. neurotransmitter) serotonin. Studies show that levels of serotonin rise and fall in relation to one's social status. And not surprisingly, one's social status depends to a great degree on one's ability to make connections with others.
In a nutshell, longstanding emotional problems, if left untreated, will eventually be reflected in physical symptoms.
Healthy HPA function is associated with a positive physiological response to stress. In a series of treatments with Sarah, your physiology is normalised by the rebalancing of the HPA.
Kinesiology & Bioresonance
Nada
What is Kinesiology? Nada explains it this way:
Our bodies are constantly giving us messages about everything we experience. It does this by giving us energy when we feel good about something and weak around anything that stresses us (remember how you felt the last time you really did not want to do something).
Kinesiology taps into that dialogue with what is called muscle monitoring. If the body feels stressed on a physical, emotional or chemical level, muscle monitoring can give precise information on where that stress is held and how it needs to be cleared.
Kinesiology understands that we experience everything with our thoughts and our feelings. This is known as our mind/body connection. When our thoughts and feelings are not in agreement about something we want, we generally experience stress in making it happen. Kinesiology gives us extraordinary access to the greatest part of any change, our feelings. Clearing the emotional stresses around something you want allows for the activation of energy toward your goal.

Primitive Reflexes
Eve and Sarah are having wonderful success at helping children (and some adults) who have behavioural and learning problems. Often these kids are labelled as having some degree of neurodevelopmental delay and we find those that we can help have retained some or all of their neonatal (or primitive) reflexes.
Primitive reflexes develop while a child is still in the womb and remain active for the first 12 months of life. During this time, they are needed for development and survival because the higher centres of the nervous system (parts of the brain) are not fully developed.
At birth, they should be fully active. Gradually, during the first 6 to 12 months, higher centres in the brain take over so that their action is inhibited and they integrate into normal brain function.
However, sometimes they are retained and not properly inhibited.
If this happens, they can disturb some or all of the higher centre functions. This will affect many things. The most obvious to other people are: social behaviour, learning, gross motor movements and fine motor movements.
From research and experience it appears that trauma of some kind somewhere between conception and the early months of life cause reflexes to be retained. The big factor appears to be birth trauma including caesarian section and any form of induced delivery. The birth process creates a great deal of stress on the skull especially around the area covering the brainstem. The nerve centres controlling primitive reflexes are in the brainstem so it is possible that trauma to that area has a direct influence on how the reflexes are finally integrated.
Treatment is based around the concept of the “Pyramid of Learning.” At the base of the pyramid is structure. At the top of the pyramid is academic learning. As in all pyramids, the base has to be well built so that the layers on top are stable. Put simply, for children to be able to learn effectively, to their potential, the bottom of the pyramid has to be functioning well.
The treatment programme involves approx 12 weekly sessions, and both Eve & Sarah can help you or your child.
Please give the clinic a call if you would like to know more about our program.
